Linzi Juliano holds a master’s degree in Performance Studies from New York University, and a doctorate in Theater and Performance Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research on media and performance has been published in Theater Journal and the International Journal of Cultural Studies. Her dissertation, Transcoded Identities in Games and Play, employed theories of identification—sexuality, gender, race, and nation—to consider where and how these structures emerge in media like mobile applications, social media platforms, and videogames.

She has been with Writing Programs since Spring of 2013. Her composition courses emphasize critical analysis of advertising, movies, and media. She also has experience teaching English as a Second Language in Spain, Korea, and the United States.
