Zoom Tips & Troubleshooting
TROUBLE FINDING the ZOOM LINK?
- If you have a SCHEDULED appointment and don’t know where to find the Zoom link for your appointment, go to uwc.ucla.edu and click on Book It OR go to MyUCLA and click on “Academic” >”Advising and Academic Services >”Appointments.” There, you should see a list of your appointments and associated Zoom links.
- If you have a DROP-IN appointment and don’t know where to find the Zoom link for your appointment, contact a UWC receptionist by emailing (wcenter@g.ucla.edu), texting (310) 893-6649 or going to our Zoom Room during business hours (https://ucla.zoom.us/my/undergraduatewritingcenter).
TECHNICAL TROUBLE with ZOOM
- If your PLF can’t hear you, make sure you check your audio settings.
– Click the Join Audio arrow on the bottom left hand side of the Zoom screen.
– After clicking Audio Settings, you should be able to see if your microphone and speakers are working properly.

- Similarly, if your video isn’t working, make sure you go to video settings from the bottom left corner (to the right of the audio settings on your Zoom screen).
